Vs. 50 “But they didn’t understand” That bothers me. For lack of understanding, Saul persecuted the church. For lack of understanding, the apostles deserted Jesus. For lack of understanding, they crucified Jesus. Do I lack understanding? Do I understand the “Father’s business” (49) in my life? I want to understand Jesus. I want to learn. I want to grow.

Kate and I (Jared) were the other night about understanding God and his word better. Why do we believe what we believe? Is it because of our upbringing or culture or other life events? Case and Point: Luke 2:36 Anna the prophetess. Why do I feel that there are no prophets/prophetess anymore? I do not know why. Is it my narrow-mindedness that does not allow for this beleif or is there fact to this? I do not know the answer but I am on the journey. Prayer: May God open our hearts to explore his ways and his paths.
