Where is Your Faith?

8:25 “Where is your faith?” Interesting question. The disciples faced a situation where their faith, their trust in God had vanished. At what point or how bad must a situation become for me to lose my faith? The response from Jesus seems to be we should always have faith. There is never a situation where you can’t trust God to take care of you. God is amazing. You can trust him.

How about you? Where is your faith?

  1. I (Jared) love your question, "Where is your faith?". I am sure if you asked the disciples before they got on that boat, they would have said "In God!". But, it is only in the midst of adversity that we truly see where our faith is. I too am like the disciples. I would say "In God" but I don't really know. We need those trials to help us see ourself and where we need to grow.

  2. But does it have to take "big" adversity moments? I tend to think that I have more resolve in those big moments, but the day to day is where I let my faith wander. I know I don't have control over the health of my babies so I can trust that God is working, but when I have deadline to meet at work I often fail to pray for focus. I think I have to hurry and get it done.

I'm not going to go so far as to say I like adversity, but Jared's take on it helps me want to have more. I want to see myself and where I need to grow.
